Welcome to Hurrchan! We are a higher standard of imageboard, free from the zero-quality posts that have ruined many great communities in the past. Hurrchan is different. Hurrchan is about having fun, posting quality content and enjoying the quality content of others, and using your freedom of speech; not shitposting, mindless hate, tired and overused memes, and making the internet a worse place for others.
If you are new here, consider reading the rules and FAQ pages for more information about Hurrchan. You may also consider posting with a username and a tripcode. Anonymous posting is allowed, but discouraged due to the negative reputation of anonymous and the decreasing of post quality without a username. Tools to generate a custom tripcode are available in the wiki.

The Hurrchan wiki is aimed to be a great source for information with a bit of humor and entertainment. Feel free to create a page on any subject you wish, or add to existing pages. Notable pages are our /g/uides for Windows 7 and Linux, also certain project pages are worth reading.

Projects
Chan Spammer Blacklist
We're currently working on a blacklist of *chan spammers, at blacklist.hurr.ca. The idea is to make it easier for *chan admins and mods to tell if a post is spam, and to ban IP's of frequent spammers and filter the spam before it can even be posted. The Chan Spam Blacklist is currently up and the core system complete, but some addons and finishing touches still need to be made. We have found that most spam on *chans is nearly the same across different boards and *chans, and blocking these URLs in the spamfilter is a very effective way to keep it from happening.
IRC QuoteDB
Our IRC quote DB is in preparation to be converted from text files to an SQL database for easier control over a larger list. This should be finished some time within the next month. Source code will be available at that time.
Tripcode Explorer for CUDA
TrapCUDA is a tripcode generator for nvidia's CUDA software. Development is currently suspended on this project. The already CPU version is Tripcode Explorer. A CPU and GPU version for ATI 4800 series or higher GPU's is MTY.
Win32 Interject.pl
Interject.pl is a perl script used to interject on /g/ with the Stallman copypasta about GNU/Linux. It scans the posts for "linux" without GNU or kernel, then interjects accordingly. The windows version is now available for your flooding pleasure. Interject.pl.
KGB Flooder
KGB flooder is a simple flooding tool for any chat room. If you can type into it, you can flood into it. Compiled into a simple executable, it works on any recent version of windows. Can be loaded with config files for easier flooding. KGB Flooder.
